I picture you sipping coffee and craving splashes of color in your day. Here is a little more about me and how creativity is a gold thread weaving itself throughout my days.
Well into my twenties and not thinking art was something I could do or was even interested in, I stumbled upon a new path by chance. Working in a group home, I held a group based on an artist’s art journal book and we each created our own art journal. I had to be reminded I was running a group. I fell deeply in love with the process. This path held splashes of color, splotches of ink, and imperfect, torn pages. An immersion began like a full-fledged, headfirst plunge into mixed-media art. Somewhere among the glue, glitter, and collage, my passion emerged. My shelves are now lined with years of art journals, some contained within old and worn suitcases that became a canvas along the way. If you were to join me for coffee or chai today in my humble abode in Maine, our words would wander along the well-worn paths of color, journal pages, paintings on canvas, altering objects, photographs, or the latest discovery on Instagram.
